Commencing with the graduates of the 2018 Sales, APG is thrilled to announce a massive prizemoney boost for its Race Series, which will now see horses compete for over $1.8million in prizemoney.
Under the enhancements, APG will conduct a Group One 2yo Race Series and a separate Group One 3yo Race Series in the April/May timeslot, as well as conducting 6 x $50,000 Group Two 2yo Championship Races and 6 x $51,000 Group Three 3yo Championship Races in mid-to-late July.
The 2yo Series will feature a single round of heats leading into a pair of $350,000 finals (one for colts & geldings and one for fillies).
These races will be scheduled for July, and will only be open to eligible APG horses that did not contest one of the $350,000 Group One 2yo Finals.
Melbourne and Sydney will each host 2 x $50,000 Group Two Championship Races (one for colts and one for fillies), whilst Brisbane and Perth will each host a single mixed sex Championship Race (PBD/Sex).
The 3yo Series will feature a single round of heats leading into a pair of $210,000 finals (one for colts & geldings and one for fillies).
These races will be scheduled for July, and will only be open to eligible APG horses that did not contest one of the $210,000 Group One 3yo Finals.
Melbourne and Sydney will each host 2 x $51,000 Group Two Championship Races (one for colts and one for fillies), whilst Brisbane and Perth will each host a single mixed sex Championship Race (PBD/Sex).
