Diamond Creek Farms promote Always B Miki as the horse that has the heart of a champion. They say, “he has proven this time and time again; whether by setting a world record during the Allerage Pace, or in his fierce showdown in the 2016 Breeders Crown to capture his second consecutive Breeders Crown title.

His fierce determination has led to his success on the track, even after suffering a potentially career-ending injury this 3-year-old year, Always B Miki would not be stopped.

He recovered and came back even stronger, with wins in the Breeders Crown, the Haughton Memorial, the Gold Cup, and the Ben Franklin, among many others, landing on the board an impressive 45 times.

His grit and speed are second to none, and he will surely be a force to be reckoned with in the stud barn”.

The above may go a little way to explaining why has just finished the year in NA as the Leading Money Winning Sire in 2021 for the 3-year-Old Pacers and third for the 2-year-Old Pacers.

His stud fee has also gone from $12,500 to $15,000 for the coming season in NA.

Miki sired the richest 2yo filly to race in 2021, Niki Hill 10-9-1-0 with earnings of $904,557.  He also sired the richest 2yo colt to race in 2021, Monte Miki 7-6-0-1 with earnings of $665,276.

His all-time best, Perfect Sting (who is out of a Bettors Delight mare just like Lot 41) has recently retired. Perfect Sting has also just been announced as going to stud at Deo Volente Farms, New Jersey. With career earnings of $1,808,147 he was never out of the money in his entire career. In 26 starts he posted 17 wins, 8 seconds and 1 third.  He personified the “perfect” in his name during his 2-year-old season.

He paced to his 1:49.2 mark — a North American season’s record — winning a Kentucky Sire Stakes. He went on to win the KYSS Final and back-to-back Grand Circuit stakes at The Red Mile before becoming the sport’s first-ever undefeated 2-year-old to win the Breeders Crown.

He was a near-unanimous selection in being voted the Dan Patch Award for “2-Year-Old Male Pacer of the Year.”

In 2021, at 3yo he lowered his career race record to 1:48.1 and finished first or second in the C$1 million North America Cup, $700,000 Meadowlands Pace, Little Brown Jug, Tattersalls Pace, Cane Pace and Hempt Memorial.  His tour de force performance came in the elimination and final of this year’s Breeders Crown. He not only won those races in emphatic fashion and beat the best in his division, and became the first male pacer to win both the 2 and 3-year-old Crowns since 1998.
