FRESH from his Australian Pacing Gold triumph during the weekend, Jarrod Alchin is hoping to secure more of the Sales Company’s money this afternoon.

At Albion Park on Saturday night Alchin captured the Group One Final with promising freshman My Ultimate Levi.

This time around Alchin has runners in a pair of Group Three APG Sovereign events at Club Menangle.

“It will be nice if we can get another APG win or two today,” Jarrod said. “As was the case with Levi, we are going to need a bit of luck.”

Alchin’s quest begins with Madrid which has drawn barrier five in the fillies’ division.

The daughter of Bling It On finished third upon debut on July 13

“She is a work in progress,” Alchin said. “I would like to have gotten a couple more runs into her before this, but it is what it is.

“She got a bit crook after her first start, but trialled really well last week.”

Alchin will then be represented by My Ultimate Skeeta and My Ultimate Ronnie in the colts’ and geldings’ category.

Drawn gate seven, My Ultimate Skeeta will be driven by Darren McCall, with Alchin to take the reins behind My Ultimate Ronnie from barrier nine.

“Skeeta is nice and handy, but I’ve got a fair opinion of Ronnie,” Alchin said. “He has a bit of an x-factor about him, but just needs to mature a little.

“He’s a strong chance, but will need some luck from his wide draw.”
