HANDY filly Our Little Jet has an opportunity to accomplish a feat her famed siblings failed to achieve this weekend.

Thanks to her third in a heat in Bendigo last week, Our Little Jet is set to contest Saturday night’s Australian Pacing Gold Bullion Final at Tabcorp Park Melton.

From grand producer Kabbalah Karen B, the three-year-old is a half-sister to multiple Group One winners Our Little General and Ladies In Red.

Among the best of their crop, Our Little General and Ladies In Red dominated the APG qualifiers but fell short in the decider.

In fact, it was only last weekend when Ladies In Red finished second behind her stablemate, Tough Tilly, in the Club Menangle-based APG Final.

Making his APG appearances in 2016, Our Little General finished sixth behind his stablemate, The Storm Inside.

Like her siblings, Our Little Jet is prepared by premier horsewoman Emma Stewart, who has five runners in the Group One.

To be driven by Mark Pitt, Our Little Jet has drawn barrier six.

“She’s had two runs from a spell for a first-up win and a third in her heat, so I’ve been happy with her efforts,” Stewart said.

“Her work has improved since her heat and she will strip fitter for the Final.

“It’ll be harder again this week, but she’s in with a chance.”

TAB Fixed Odds have the daughter of Bettors Delight on the third line of betting at $7, with Just Hope the $1.33 favourite from the pole.

Our Little Jet’s stablemate, Playing Up, is the second elect at $5 from barrier three.

“Just Hope has proven herself to be among the best fillies and is certainly the one to beat,” Stewart said.
