The wins of Captain Perfect and Loucasso in the Group 1 $100,000 Breeders Crown Finals at Melton have given their relatives at our Melbourne Yearling Sale to be held at Oaklands Junction on Sunday a timely boost.
A Downbytheseaside filly closely related to Captain Perfect will go under the hammer as Lot 130. The filly is out of a half-sister to Turn It Up, who won an Albion Park free-for-all recently and has banked just shy of $1 million.
Meanwhile, a filly by the leading Canadian sire All Bets Off from the immediate family of last season’s outstanding juvenile Loucasso is listed as Lot 143.
Keayang Zahara, the brilliant winner of the Group 1 Maori Mile and Cranbourne Trotters Cup, has a close relative in the sale, a filly by the Muscle Hill import E L Titan (Lot 134) which should command plenty of attention.
A brother to the Tasmanian Golden Slipper winner Soho Tuxedo (Lot 122), a Pebble Beach half-brother to the Tasmanian Youngbloods heat winner Martyr (Lot 168) and a half-sister to the Melton winner Miss Joplin (Lot 180) are also among the offering.
There’s close relatives to the Vicbred Super Series semi winner Soho Charmer (Lot 146), the Melton juvenile winner Bettor Beach (Lot 155), the Breeders Crown and Vicbred Trotting Finals placegetter Munny The Munster (Lot 165), the Albion Park winner Speak The Truth (Lot 170) and the Hamilton Trotters Cup winner Meadow Valley Star (Lot 136).
