Premier horsewoman Emma Stewart has an intriguing cast of youngsters engaged in tomorrow night’s Ballarat meeting.

The strong card is headed by Australian Pacing Gold heats, with Stewart to be represented by eight two-year-olds throughout the two divisions.

Three members of the team – Khafaji, Our Little Jet and Heavenly Sign – are debutantes, while the other five have won their only start!

The first in action, Khafaji is by Somebeachsomewhere from former handy mare Trebla Trebla.

Daughters of Bettors Delight, Our Little Jet and Heavenly Sign will compete at the opposite end of the card.

Our Little Jet is a half-sister to Group One winners Our Little General and Ladies In Red, which are also from the Stewart stable.

Heavenly Sign is the first foal from the Stewart-trained Group One winner, Heavens Trend.

As for the winners, they consist of Beach Villa, Fiamma, Petillante, Irish Black Label and Playing Up.

Like the unraced trio, the quintet are related to or from Group One stars.

The various topline relatives include Yankee Rockstar, Poster Boy, Flaming Flutter, Follow The Stars and Our Femme Fatale.

“We’ve got a pretty nice bunch in the APG heats on Thursday night,” Stewart said. “Each of them have their share of ability and are expected to do a good job.”
