Australian Pacing Gold has announced that it will be incorporating a 2yo Trotters Series into its 2024 Yearling Sales.

Deputy Chairman of APG, Peter Watkinson, indicated that promotion of trotting sales has an important role in ensuring the overall viability of the harness industry.

“APG has had a long association with selling trotting yearlings and we look forward to that continuing in 2024,” Watkinson said.

“APG will be offering a mixed sex 2yo Trotters Series, based in Victoria, ideally late in the season in order to give trainers ample time to prepare their youngsters.”

“Final Prizemoney will be a minimum of $100K and that is based on around 30 hopefuls signing up for the series. If the number of participants grows, so will the prizemoney.”

APG will also be offering a Non-Sale entry for Trotters – something that will not be available to Pacing entries.
